On the album Emotions, Štěpánka Balcarová set to music eight basic human emotions described by the American psychologist Robert Plutchik: joy, trust, fear, surprise, sadness, resistance, anger, expectation. She recorded a concept album with the repertoire, which had a concert premiere in August 2022, with the Czech-Polish quartet, whose members are Nikola Kołodziejczyk (piano), Jaromír Honzák (double bass) and Grzegorz Masłowski (drums).
Štěpánka Balcarová arranged six songs from her debut album Life and Happiness of Julian Tuwim for jazz septet and symphony orchestra. The album is a live recording of the premiere of this program from February 2022. It features the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Marko Ivanović and the jazz septet of Štěpánka Balcarová with the Polish singer Małgorzata Hutek.
100 Years celebrating the 100 years of existence of the Czech state is a vast suite written by a group of composers called the Prague Six. It came to existence in 2018 as a commemoration of the national anniversary.
The album presents progressively arranged Czech Christmas carols or songs freely inspired by Christmas, for example musicalized verses of Czech poets Fráňa Šrámek and Jan Skácel. The album features guest performances of Dan Bárta, Markéta Foukalová and Milan Cimfe. Authors of the compositions are members of the composers’ group Prague Six.
